Creating a New Project from an Existing One
If you've got a board that's just perfect and you'd like to replicate it for a new project, we've got you covered. With the "Create from Existing Board" feature, you can easily craft a new board using an existing one as a template, even bringing over all the data, widgets, and automations if you wish. Here's how you can do it:
Step 1: Initiate creating a New Board
Click on the + button located in the board browser to kickstart the creation of a new board. Choose the "From existing board" option to proceed.
Step 2: Customize Your Board
Although the new board will automatically match the type of the source board, feel free to modify this by selecting a different option from the available choices.
Step 3: Copy Board Data
If you want to carry over the data, widgets, and automations from the source board, simply tick the Copy Board Data option before clicking "Create".
Voila! Your New Board is Ready
Just like that, your new board is set up, mirroring the structure, tasks, subtasks, widgets, and automations of the existing board. This means you'll find the same groups, columns, tasks, subtasks, widgets, automations, and settings in your new board, saving you time and effort.
Note: While this feature copies most elements, it won't transfer the project members from the original board.
