Setting Up Recurring Tasks

Recurring tasks in Anywhere help automate your workflow by creating tasks on a set schedule or when specific conditions are met. This feature is especially useful for tasks that need to be done regularly, such as weekly meetings, monthly reports, or daily check-ins.

Steps to Create a Recurring Task:

Selecting the Task:
Navigate to the task you want to set as recurring.
Click on the task to open its details.
Look for the clock icon and click on it.

Setting Up Recurrence:
The Set Recurring window will appear.
You will see two options: On Schedule & On Condition. The default selection is On Schedule
Under On Schedule, you can set the task to recur:

- Specific Date: Choose a particular date for the task to recur.
- Daily: Set the task to recur every day.
- Weekly: Choose specific days of the week.
- Monthly: Set the task to recur on a particular day of the month.

Choose how the recurring task should be created:
- Create blank task: A new task with no details will be created.
- Include all columns: The new task will copy all details from the original task.
- Select columns (Pro+ plans only): Choose specific columns to copy from the original task to the new task.
Decide where the recurring task should be placed using the Select the group option.
If the original task has sub-tasks, decide if they should be included in the recurring task using the Include sub-task option.

Setting Up Recurrence Based on Conditions:
If you choose On Condition, you can set the task to recur when certain conditions are met.
Conditions can be based on Label, Status, Priority, or Date columns.
Once you've set your conditions, choose how the recurring task should be created (as described in step 3).

Saving the Recurring Task:
Once you've set up your recurrence preferences, click the Save button.
The task will now be set to recur based on your settings.

Updating or Deleting Recurrence:
If you need to change or remove the recurrence settings, you can do so from the task's details.

Recurring tasks in Anywhere simplify the process of tracking and managing tasks that need to be done regularly. By setting up recurrence, you ensure that tasks are automatically created, ensuring consistency and reducing the chances of tasks being overlooked.



















































Recurring tasks are a great way to automate your projects and create tasks automatically based on a schedule or when a predefined condition is met.

Now you can create recurring tasks with or without subtasks in a specific group based on schedule and predefined conditions.

Let's see how to set up a task as recurring.

First, you can select a task you'd like to recur and click on it. You can see a clock icon and click on it.

You can see the Set Recurring window. Here you can see two options On Schedule & On Condition. By default, On Schedule is selected. Using the On Schedule option, you can create a recurring task a*ccording to** schedule, based on a Specific Date, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly options.



With the Specific Date option, you can create a recurring task on a specific date by selecting the date from below the given text box.

You can select the set time for creating recurring tasks using the set time option.

By default, the Create blank task option is set for recurring tasks. The other two options, Including all columns and Select columns, are also available to users. The select columns option is available under Pro+ plans. Let's see the usability of different options.

Create blank option: Creates a new blank task based on recurring conditions.

Include all columns: Creates a new task based on your recurring conditions & copy all values from the source task to the new one.

Select columns: This allows you to customize which columns should get copied from the source task to the new task created based on recurring conditions.

You can create recurring tasks in a specific group via the Select the group option.

You can create a recurring task with or without a sub-task by selecting the Include sub-task option.




Finally, you can click the Save button and create a recurring task according to the scheduled time and date.


Similarly, you can also create a recurring task On the condition option. Let's see how.

Select the On condition option, and you are presented with some of the column types from your board, based on which you can create a specific condition on which a new recurring task should be created.

You can create recurring tasks using only Label, Status, Priority & Date columns.

You can select any options, Create a blank task, Include all columns, and Select columns based on your choice.

When done, click on the Save button.



And that's all. This will create a new task whenever a condition is matched based on your configuration.

You can also Update and Delete recur operations from a task.
