Working with the Docs View
The Docs View in Anywhere is a centralized platform designed to manage and organize all project-related documents. It provides a seamless experience for creating, editing, and sharing documents, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to the necessary information.
Key Features of the Docs View:
Centralized Document Management: The Docs view offers a consolidated space to create, manage, and share all project-related documents.
Creating Inline Documents: Click on the + button under Docs and select "Inline document" to create a new document right within Anywhere. The platform offers an online word editor with functionalities similar to Microsoft Word. This includes formatting, styling, and more. Inline documents are particularly useful for creating Project Requirement Documents, Project Scope documents, etc. The document auto-saves every 10 seconds, ensuring no data loss.
Locking a Document: Once editing is complete, users can switch the document to read-only mode, preventing further modifications. This feature ensures that finalized documents remain unchanged. Only the document's creator and the project owner have the authority to toggle the read-only mode.
Embedding External Documents: Anywhere allows users to embed documents from various online services, including Google Drive, Google Docs, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box.com, and more. To embed an external document, click on the + icon, select "Embed external document," provide the document's name and embed link, and save.
Note: The feature to embed external documents is exclusive to the Grow and higher plans.
