Configuring Your Google Workspace Account for Anywhere Email

Enabling IMAP Settings:
Open your Gmail on your computer.
In the top right corner, click on Settings.
Select See all settings.
Click on the "**Forwarding and POP/IMAP"** tab.
In the "**IMAP Access**" section, choose "**Enable IMAP**".
Don't forget to click Save Changes.
Enabling 2-Step Verification:
Go to https://myaccount.google.com/u/1/security and click on "**Two-Step Verification**".
Click GET STARTED.
Follow the prompts to set up two-factor authentication for your account.
Once set up, click Turn On.
Creating an App Password:
Return to the Security page at https://myaccount.google.com/u/1/security and click on App passwords.
Confirm your identity by entering your password.
Select 2-step verification.
Scroll down and choose App Passwords.
Select "App and Device". For the App, choose Mail. For Device, select Other (Custom).
Give it a name like "_Anywhere - Email Connection_".
An app password will be generated. Copy and save it securely, then click DONE.
Now, you're all set up to use your Google Workspace email with Anywhere. Head over to our custom email guide and use the following settings:
- Default from sender email address: Your Gmail email
- Default from sender display name: Your name
- SMTP host: 587 (for Google)
- Use SSL: Yes
- Domain Name: Your domain name (yourdomainname.com)
- User Name: Enter your Gmail email again
- Password: Use the App Password generated earlier
- Test the email by entering a test email address and clicking Send Test Email.
Finally, click Save All.
