Customizing dashboard widgets

Customizing widgets in Anywhere allows you to tailor your dashboard to display information in the way that best suits your needs. Here are the steps to create and customize widgets:

How to Create and Customize Widgets:

Navigate to the board where you want to create a data widget. (For instructions on how to create a new widget, refer to this article).

Click on the plus icon to open the widget popup.

Widget creation and customization are divided into three steps.

Step 1: Selecting a View

- Select a view from the "Select View" section on the left side of the popup. The chart will be generated based on the selected filtered data view. You can choose the "All Data" option if you want to plot the chart on all data on the board.

Select View

Step 2: Selecting a Chart Type

- After selecting a custom view, click on the "Select Chart Type" option. You'll see various chart types available, such as Pie Chart, Grid Pie Chart, Vertical Bar Chart, Area Chart, etc.

Select Chart Type

Step 3: Configuring Widgets

- After selecting a chart type, you will see chart configuration options on the right side of the widget popup.

- Groups: Select a group from the dropdown on which the chart needs to be plotted. You can select multiple groups simultaneously.

Select Group

- Columns: Choose a column from the "Columns" dropdown. You can select only one column at a time.

Select Column

- Show Legend: Check the "Show Legend" option to display the labels of the data, actual value, and the percentage of the actual value.

Show Legend

- There are additional checkboxes available, such as Animations, Disable tooltip, Show Actual Value, etc. You can tick them according to your specific requirements.

Additional Options

- After configuring these settings, enter the widget name and click the "Save" button.

Your widget is now created and can be found under the "Chart View Type," where all the created widgets are listed.

If you wish to update any of the widgets you've created, follow these steps:

Go back to the related board.

Select the chart view option, then open the list of all the created widgets on the board.

Click on the pencil icon next to the widget name.

Edit Widget

The widget popup will open, allowing you to change values or update the chart type. Updating a widget follows the same steps as widget creation.

After updating the widgets, they will reflect the updated data in your Dashboards.

Note: Updated widgets will be reflected in the dashboard.

Tip: You can create multiple charts using the same data set.

We hope you find this guide helpful for creating and customizing widgets in Anywhere, allowing you to build informative and tailored dashboards for your needs.
